How GST Calculation Works

Adding GST
To add GST to a base amount:
GST Amount = (Original Price * GST %) / 100
Net Price = Original Price + GST Amount
Removing GST
To find the original price before GST:
Original Price = Net Price / (1 + GST % / 100)
GST Amount = Net Price - Original Price
In India, GST is usually split equally between Central GST (CGST) and State GST (SGST) for intra-state transactions.
